A Wicked Problem
Educators aren't teaching students to think complexly.
According to survey data from a 2016 poll about complex thinking in schools, most educators didn’t understand what true “complex thinking” was.
When asked how they incorporate this skill in their everyday instruction, answers varied, but few were truly about teaching students how to think complexly.
Since educators don’t understand the skill of complex thinking themselves,they won’t be able to teach it to their scholars.
